Jetour, the SUV brand that made a strong entrance into the South African market in late September, has quickly reached its first major local milestone, selling 568 units across its X70 Plus and Dashing ranges. This rapid success brings Jetour closer to its year-end goal of 1,500 units sold—a target the brand seems well-positioned to meet.
Globally, Jetour has sold over 1.3 million vehicles across five product lines within just 70 months, and it entered South Africa with a solid after-sales strategy. The first batch of 24 shipments has already been stocked at its Midrand headquarters, ensuring ample parts availability and reliable service support for local customers.
With 40 dealerships across South Africa, Jetour has established a strong presence nationwide, partnering with industry giants like Super Group, which operates over 29 automotive brands, to open three exclusive Jetour dealerships. Other reputable partners include William Simpson, with a new dealership in Tokai, Cape Town, and Lazarus Motor Company in Centurion. Dealerships countrywide are offering exclusive access to Jetour models with competitive pricing, seasonal discounts, and financing options tailored to various budgets.
“We are deeply committed to innovation, exceptional service, and unmatched quality. We’ve positioned ourselves as a breakthrough brand within South Africa’s automotive industry, setting a new standard,” said Nic Campbell, Vice President of Jetour South Africa.
Jetour’s lineup has drawn significant attention, particularly the Jetour X70 Plus, a 7-seater SUV blending sophistication, advanced technology, and adventure-readiness. Priced at R454,900 for the Momentum model and R484,900 for the Deluxe, the X70 Plus comes with top safety features like ABS with EBD, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and electronic stability control.
The Jetour Dashing, a 5-seater SUV, is competitively priced from R439,900 for the Momentum model to R469,900 for the Deluxe. Known for its bold design, the Dashing features dynamic front styling with split-type LED headlights, a sleek coupe-like profile, and muscular contours, combining power and elegance.
One of China’s fastest-growing SUV brands, Jetour has introduced its “Travel+” strategy to South Africa, linking the SUV experience to tourism and travel. This was highlighted at the first “Journey with Jetour” event in the Cape Winelands, where early Cape-based Jetour customers gathered to celebrate their new vehicles.
“We’re proud of our swift success and will maintain this momentum, exceeding our sales targets as we offer South African customers a blend of quality, innovation, and value,” said Campbell. “We’re excited to continue redefining affordable luxury, delivering vehicles that combine adventure with advanced technology.”
