We recently spent a week exploring the Mahindra Scorpio N, and let me tell you, it was an adventure for the whole family (including a very excited 7-year-old who finally managed to snag some sleep on the road!).

The first thing that grabbed everyone’s attention was the stunning, deep green paint job. It was a rare sight on the road and complemented the car’s bold design perfectly. This unique color surprisingly flowed seamlessly into the well-appointed interior, creating a cohesive and stylish feel.
Spacious Comfort for Every Passenger (Even the Pickiest Ones)
With a family of five, including a toddler and a 7-year-old, finding a comfortable and practical car can be a challenge. The Scorpio N, however, surprised us all. The dedicated kiddie seats in the back were a huge hit with the little ones, and for the first time ever, our 7-year-old managed to catch some sleep during a long journey. Even my 63-year-old mother raved about the comfortable seating and the joy of having the entire family together in one spacious vehicle. Plus, there was ample luggage space to fit everything we needed without sacrificing passenger comfort.
From City Streets to Bongs’ Change of Heart
After conquering the family road trip, we decided to put the Scorpio N to the test in the city with my co-host Bongs. Initially, his impression was that it was just another large SUV trying to compete with established giants like the Toyota Fortuner. However, after navigating the city streets, his perspective shifted dramatically. “This is an honest car,” he declared. The Scorpio N delivered exactly what it promised – a comfortable, capable SUV at an attractive price point.
The Verdict: More Than Just Size
The Mahindra Scorpio N surprised us all. It’s not just a big, imposing SUV; it’s a practical and comfortable family vehicle that also handles city driving with ease. If you’re looking for an honest, well-priced SUV that can handle both adventure and everyday commutes, the Scorpio N is definitely worth a closer look.
Long-Term Test and Off-Road Adventure
We would love to get the opportunity for a long-term test with the Scorpio N, especially to see how it performs off-road. If that becomes a possibility, we’d be excited to do a comprehensive review with our travel partners outside of Gauteng province.
