At the JOYSTAR 4S dealership in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, visitors recently witnessed this bold future in action as Chery introduced the AiMOGA Robot—its intelligent humanoid sales consultant—on the global stage.
Clad in a futuristic silver-grey exosuit, the AiMOGA Robot made a graceful entrance onto the showroom floor, moving with ease and attracting both media buzz and guest admiration. But its sleek appearance was just the beginning. From welcoming customers and showcasing vehicle features to serving beverages and booking test drives, AiMOGA exuded the warmth and intuition of a real human host—powered by an astonishing level of artificial intelligence.
This showcase is part of Chery’s broader strategy to transform the automotive retail landscape through intelligent, emotionally aware service. Co-developed with the AiMOGA team, the robot is Chery’s first embodied AI entity within its smart ecosystem. Far beyond a concept or avatar, AiMOGA is a physical, functional humanoid that has transitioned from digital dreams to tangible reality.
AiMOGA boasts an advanced on-device multimodal sensing system that seamlessly integrates visual, auditory, and environmental inputs. This enables the robot to respond to verbal commands, interpret physical gestures, and adapt to dynamic showroom conditions in real time.
Its bionic motion system, coupled with automotive-grade hardware, allows for fluid upright walking and intricate hand movements. AiMOGA is also capable of multi-robot collaboration—performing coordinated tasks like guided tours and concierge services with other AI-powered agents. At the core of its decision-making lies the integration of CheryGPT and Deepseek large language models, empowering AiMOGA to deliver personalised, context-aware conversations in multiple languages.
The name “AiMOGA” reflects a fusion of Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm—symbolising both a deep-rooted technological vision and the global aspirations of the Chery brand.
Now officially deployed across Chery 4S dealerships, AiMOGA is redefining customer engagement by autonomously managing vehicle presentations, guest reception, and test drive facilitation—all while offering a highly personalised, multilingual interaction.
Looking ahead, Chery plans to expand AiMOGA’s footprint to high-engagement environments such as shopping malls, cinemas, expos, and public service centres. The robot’s ongoing evolution in comprehension, emotional intelligence, and dexterity positions it to play a valuable role in spaces where empathy and adaptability matter—like schools, eldercare homes, and even households.

The AiMOGA Robot made its spectacular debut at Auto Shanghai during the Chery Life exhibition, where it was joined by a robotic dog for a series of high-energy performances—from interactive challenge games and flash mob dances to welcoming ceremonies. Chery also used the platform to showcase its broader ecosystem, including smart energy solutions such as home EV charging stations, card-based public chargers, and a new line of camping gear—offering seamless integration for both urban and off-grid lifestyles.
