    Mzansi Wethu (DStv Channel 163) continues to stand as a bold and authentic voice for South Africans through its line-up of reality and drama offering. Whether it’s confronting real life issues that reflect everyday life or it’s for entertainment,  the channel that doesn’t just reflect the Mzansi community, but it connects with it, challenges it and champions it.

    With that in mind, Mzansi Wethu is introducing some new and returning shows as well as important scheduling changes to the channel.

     

    Bad Girls Bootcamp S1 – 19:00 on Tuesdays from 29 July

    This jaw-dropping show is about a group of rebellious young women in the hope of going from reckless to redeemed. Question is can they handle the heat. Think intervention meets empowerment, with “the girls” confronting their darkest truths in a no-nonsense bootcamp.

    Eyamadoda S1 – 18:30 on Thursdays from 31 July

    Eyamadoda explores what it means to be a man in today’s world including confronting absent fathers.  With powerful storytelling and real-life experiences, this new series promises to spark conversation and reflection.

    Yithi Laba – 18:30 on Fridays from 1 August

    Love doesn’t always follow the rules. In this unique relationship series, a 52-year-old woman and her 28-year-old partner fight to prove their love is real  despite resistance from family, community, and their own complicated pasts. It’ all about unconventional dating and making things permanent when it all seems impossible. Expect baby talk, break-ups, and plenty of backchat in this unfiltered look at love across generations.

    Yithi Laba loosely translated means “This is Us”.

    Also returning is the fifth season of the popular……..

    Ubizo S5 – Returns at 19:00 on Mondays from 28 July

    Spiritual guide Lloyd Radebe returns in the fifth season of Ubizo, helping people reconnect with their ancestral paths. With emotional revelations and powerful messages from the underground gang, this season continues to offer healing, clarity, and connection for those seeking answers.

    Adding even more depth to the Mzansi Wethu schedule is the newly announced telenovela, Homecoming, a powerful story of identity, healing, and unexpected connection.

     

    Homecoming S1 – 18:30 from Monday 28 July (Mondays – Wednesdays)

    From acclaimed producers Tshedza Pictures, Homecoming follows Zethu, a top medical graduate who returns to her rural hometown of Bergville with no job and shattered dreams. Just when it seems like all is lost, she crosses paths with Sifiso, a local cop by day and traditional healer by night, and everything begins to shift.

    Starring Thembinkosi Mthembu, Mpume Nyamane, Sipho Manzini, Khombi Phetla, and more, this is a story about coming home to more than just a place, it’s about rediscovering purpose. It airs Mondays-Wednesdays.

    That’s not all…we are bringing the hit teen drama Youngins to Access households as it makes its linear TV debut on Mzansi Wethu.

     

    Youngins S1– 19:00 from Wednesday 30 July (Wednesdays – Fridays)

    Set in a Johannesburg boarding school, this coming-of-age series follows a group of teens as they navigate friendship, love, betrayal, and identity. It’s a bold, honest look at Gen Z coming-of-age challenges including pressures faced by young people today, from social media and peer pressure to family expectations and personal growth.

    For parents, caregivers, and older siblings, Youngins offers a window into the world of today’s youth, sparking conversations that matter. For younger viewers, it’s a story that feels real, relatable, and refreshingly local.

     Izindaba Zethu, the trusted source of daily news headlines in IsiZulu and IsiXhosa is moving to a new broadcast time of 17:00 from Monday 28 July.
