You have probably already run for rhinos, vitality, hope, and cities, but now it is time to #Run4Avos. Nedbank Running Club’s latest Strava challenge rewards you for running and not for saving the fruit.
Nedbank, a long-time sponsor of road running through the Nedbank Running Club, is encouraging runners on all fitness levels to join the Strava challenge to win one of 5 000 Avo vouchers to spend on the Avo SuperShop.
Jerry is at the forefront of #Run4Avos and has been passionate about running for a cause for decades. He understands that some people identify as a runner but for him, it is about finding a purpose that encourages him to run. “I don’t want to be running willy-nilly. I want to run to change the world and make an impact or run to save something – one step at a time and one cause at a time,” says Jerry.
“Running is a sport for all, we aim to create an experience that can be enjoyed by the whole family from social runners or walkers who want to stay fit, socialise, or simply enjoy a healthy lifestyle and improve their sporting ability. But this time I did my research and made sure that it was something new that no one has done before, something that I knew people would be passionate about, and I am excited that I wasn’t the only person who thought about it. Even Nedbank is onboard to support #Run4Avos,’ adds Jerry.
Through this collaborative initiative between the Nedbank Running Club, Strava and the Avo SuperShop, #Run4Avos aims to uplift the running community’s spirits through running challenges that are open to all members of the public.
“#Run4Avos is more than a run for a cause – it is an opportunity for participants to earn an Avo SuperShop voucher and discover the ultimate online shopping experience. Across the country, the Nedbank Running Club will be hosting four #Run4Avos events that runners can participate in, whether they are a member of the Nedbank Running Club or not. The events will be hosted in Johannesburg on 2 August, Durban on 15 August, Pretoria on 17 August and Cape Town on 31 August 2023.
